President Normand Zarella called the meeting to order at 12:38p.m. He then made the introduction of the Executive Board: Joy Mills (Vice President), Fred Connors (Treasurer), himself and Corporate Council, Christopher Rich, who was not in attendance, currently recovering from a minor set back.

1) Motion was made and carried to suspend the roll call.

2) The following Past Presidents in attendance were recognized: Patricia Lambert, Ralph Belmonte and Bill Aker.

3) President Zarella introduced Ms. Sandra Baza from Milford Federal Savings and Loan Association who was sponsored by Carolyn Cialdea,

4) The Treasurer’s report was read and accepted by vote of the membership.

5) The Secretary’s report was accepted as mailed.

6) V.P. Mills gave a brief update on the seminar and reminded members that the enrollment date was coming up shortly and to make sure that they reservations in a timely manner.

7) V.P. Mills also stated that a final head count needs to be given to the Radisson at least a week in advance and the membership’s assistance in making timely reservations would greatly assist the committee in the final preparations for the April Trade Show.

The membership then heard a very animated and informative speech from Mr. Johnson who explained the rights and laws for towing companies within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. This guest speaker gave us insights on red flags to watch for and explained the differences between consensual and non consensual mechanics’ lien laws that our Association members can utilize going forward in their daily business and hopefully future legislative initiatives.

11) Thank you to the following members who contributed donations for the raffle: Ed Kerrigan of Adesa Auto Auction for 3 bottles of wine, a gift certificate from Joyce Mover of the Registry of Motor Vehicles and two boxes of golf balls from Peter Mazzini of Milford National Bank.
